The Village Church

I'm attending the Village Church in Flowermound, TX. It's awesome!!! Okay here's what we do, we have to sign in and where a name tag. Then we go to our classrooms and talk about random stuff for like 25 min. Then we go to a big room where everybody goes and we sing and have our main lesson. I help the little kids with the motions every week. After that we go to our classrooms again. By the way, they separate girls and boys and grade levels. Like I'm in Fifth Grade Girls, like that. Well, anyway, we go to our classrooms and talk about the main lesson we had that day. It's really fun. Well we only have four rules: We have to listen to ALL adults whenever they're talking, we have to keep our name tags on all the time, we can't touch or talk to the person next to you when it's "not the right time", and if someone asks you to do something you have to do it right away with a great attitude. Kind of lame rules but they're easy to follow and they work. Like kids my age know how to behave, well some of them do but that's a WHOLE different story, but the little kids don't really know how to behave so they listen to them like someone who is being arrested listens to the police. It's fun. I really enjoy it. Well, that's it.

Book Reviews

Gone by Micheal Grant is an amazingly awesome science fiction novel.
This book has about 7 main characters in it, Sam, Astrid, Little Pete, Caine, Drake, Lana, Edilto, and Quinn.
                                                 Character Reviews and backgrounds
Sam Temple: a fourteen-year-old boy who just discovered mysterious powers, lives with his single mom, and has one friend at the beginning of the book.
Astrid: People called her " Astrid the Genius" because she was really smart. She lived with her single mom and little brother.
Little Pete: an autistic 4-year-old boy who is attached to his older sister Astrid. He likes to play on his game boy. He also has been discovering strange powers like teleporting people to different places.
Caine: Sam's twin brother(at the beginning of the book they don't know they're brothers) who plans to take over the Perdido Beach kids.
Drake: a "sick in the head" boy who is obsessed with violence, black mail, and anything that could possibly injure someone physically and/or emotionally.
Lana: a city girl who falls off a cliff when her grandfather disappeared from a moving pickup truck. She gets kidnapped by talking coyotes, and she discovers she can heal any wound by touching it.
Edilto: a Spanish boy who will take orders and take charge when needed.
Quinn: a surfer who gets emotional when he's scared or doesn't understand something. He is effected by peer pressure easily.
                                                                    Summary
All the kids were having a normal day at school and the teachers disappeared. No poof or bang or anything they were just gone!!! So Astrid, Sam, Quinn, and Edilto team up to fight hunger and mutiny in about 36sq. miles of enclosed area. Kids screaming for mom and dad. Don't forget about all the toddlers and babies!! A daycare with almost all the kids in it is run by Mother Mary and her brother John. All the grocery stores have been raided  from most ice cream, chips, cookies, cakes, etc. All that is left is stuff in houses and boxed and caned foods. As there are alway injuries, they had to have a "doctor".  They needed a kid who was up to the task with some past first aid experience. Who should they find but Darah?? All is quite with most elementary and middle school students watching television and the team of leaders patrolling the town when Caine arrives. Caine and his crew cleaned up and practiced driving and made and entrance on the leaders and kids. Caine made a very convincing speech that he had all the answers. Most kids believed him, but some still had their suspicions. Caine turned out to just be a power seeking, mean, wanna-be that used Drake and his violence to power over everything. As hunger threats and Caine and his gang try to overpower the original team of leader, Astrid, Sam, Quinn, Edilto and Lana try to protect the kids and stop Caine.
As Caine gathers more and more followers, he makes rules. If anyone is caught breaking the rules they were to be clubbed with metal baseball bats. A girl, Bette, breaks into a grocery store out of desperation and Caine and Drake take her to the fire department where Sam, Quinn, and Edilto were living and clubbed her right in front of them. About 2 or 3 days later, Bette came into the doctors office, slurring words, walking unsteadily and grasping her head dies from internal bleeding in her brain. So as you can see this was beginning to be a very dangerous place. Kids fearing for their lives, hunger, violence, and all the confusion!! Will the team of leaders be able to figure it out and make peace throughout all the people? Or will Caine's team win and do whatever they please and destroy all hope for respect and organization? I guess you'll have to read the book to find out.

Over all this story is about justice, rights, bravery, confusion, sadness, tragedy, and a little romance. This book does have violence it it so I would not recommend it to people 7 and younger. Over all, I'd give this book, um, 4 stars.

Other AWESOME blogs to check out

The bottom three are my family's blogs and the first one is some of our friends blog. I would REALLY recommend reading them.

Cell Phones

Do any of you have cell phones? Well if you do or don't I think you should read this. Cell phones have advantages and disadvantages.
Advantages: Good contact with family and friends when needed; which includes information they just found out that family and friends don't know about, etc.
Disadvantages: People can just text and/or talk on the phone all day long and not pay any attention to anything going on around them. Camera phones can cause misdemeanors made by young kids who are in a "relationship".  Not saying anything bad about anyone but that is a common issue now a days.
So you see, cell phones have good and bad things about them, if you have one, are you using it in the right way?

Okay, I have to put something REALLY random in here because the thing I posted right above this was SOOOO serious it's just not believable that I wrote it so here's my random input:
Is it physically possible for someone to eat their Chinese Noodles with one, only one, chopstick??? Think about that?

Well I hope that changes your opinion on cell phones for the better or worse I really don't care.

S'mores and soccer and hog dogs oh my!!!!

Last night me and my family roasted roasted hot dogs over the fire for dinner at like 8 o'clock. After we finished our hot dogs, we roasted marshmallows and put them in one of the best food combinations ever, chocolate and Graham crackers!!!!! So good!!!!!! After we finished those, we played soccer in the dark. It was so much fun. We had to go inside our house because it was like 9:30. Well, I think you should probably do this with your family sometime it is extremely fun!

The Dishes

Do any of you have chores to do at your house? If you do, is one of them to do the dishes? That's mine and I hate it!!!! It drives me crazy. Taylor (my sister) and I rotate days, so one day Taylor does the dishes and the next day I do them. Today is Taylor's day and that makes me so happy, you don't even know!!!! To bad for Taylor. Well, if you have no choice and your parents make you do the dishes just like me, please comment to this. If you don't do the dishes, you're just wasting your time right now. If you volunteer to do the dishes.....................well then you're just crazy and that's just crazy so if that's the case I don't want you looking at my blog!!! Hahaha I tricked you!!! It's a free country and you have all rights to be looking at my blog and I'm going to let you because I'm just that kind of person! A nice one!!!!! Well, that's it for dishes. Remember, my blog is awesome and so am I!

A short story

I was three. My mom left me on a rooftop in Las Vegas. The security guard found me when he thought he heard screaming from the rooftop. He came up and took me down stairs and called the Child Protection Services. They found me a foster home and I've been in 24 different foster homes over the past 8 years. None of them liked me much, they said I was to quiet and that they got scared when they couldn't find me but I was under my bed reading the whole time. Then, one day, that all changed. When I got moved to my 24th foster home I was 11 and had broken my personal record and had read 101 books over the past year. My foster parents did the same thing all the other ones did, they said hi and hugged me, introduced me to all the other kids and took me to my room and again I said thank you and started reading. But these foster parents didn't allow me to read all day, they made me play with the other kids and if I read, I had to read in the sun room were they could see me. I didn't like it one little bit. But I have to admit, I actually made some friends. I stayed at that foster home longer than I ever had. The longest I ever stayed at another foster home was 6 months. I've been here for at least a year and a half. I had so much fun there. Then one day I was about to go to bed and was the only one waiting outside the bathroom so I could brush my teeth and my foster parents came up to me and said, " Daniel, how would you like it if you joined the MacIntosh family?" Let's just say, I went berserk. I was jumping and laughing and yelling " YES! YES! YES!" And the whole time my new parents (Mom and Dad) were beaming from ear to ear. And finally, when I got so tiered and out of breath I had to lie down, I went to bed in such a good mood I was smiling when I went to sleep. That year I didn't read much, only 56 books, but I had the best time of my foster-kid life those couple years, and I have a great life ahead of me.

Flowermound Pumpkin Patch

On Sunday, October 10, 2010 my family went to the Flowermound  Pumpkin Patch. If you like face painting, balloon animals, bounce houses, park equipment, hay rides, pumpkin buying opportunities, "train" rides, and an opportunity to take TONS of picture with your family, than you should go to the Pumpkin Patch. Of course, there are downfalls of every place you go. It was pretty crowded and there was dust and dirt in your food, eyes, hair, and mouth. But overall, it was a really fun place to go. I would suggest going there.
